Structure of Equatorial-Chlorocyclohexane

The E2 reaction of equatorial-chlorocyclohexane. How well does it work? Not very well at all because there are no anti-periplanar H-atoms in the alpha positions (that is attached to the C-atom one sigma bond removed from the C-atom that carries the chlorine). There are no syn-periplanar H-atoms either. This is the worst case scenario for the E2 reaction.
