Structure of Pyrrol

Pyrrol is a 5-membered aromatic ring system ring. The NH is sp2-hybridized so that the "lone pair" is a p-orbital. The two electrons in that p-AO contribute to the cyclic delocalized pi-system of pyrrol. Pyrrol is an "electron-rich" aromatic system since there are 6 pi-electrons distributed over 5 atoms.
