Groups can be helpful in studying. Knowing other students in our classes, we can collaborate in order to improve our learning, especially before tests. Basically, students can learn from each other as well as from the lectures. However, for our particular group, the stress of the project simply became awful. We tried to start on the project early, but conflicting schedules, illnesses, and lost group members became huge handicaps. Personal problems aside, we had technical problems, too. Working on-line, the search for information on the Web was extremely frustrating: usually after we found a site with useful information, the server was down or the site demanded we subscribe to commercial software. Basically, we did not know how to efficiently search the web. While we enjoyed getting to know our group members, the project itself was scary and nearly impossible for groups like ours without a computer-whiz member.
