FUNCTION : COUGH SUPPRESSANT

TOXICITY : LD50 Data unknown, but according to the DXM FAQ, toxicity begins at around 20-30 mg/kg in humans.

SPECIAL NOTES : DXM is used to replace Codeine (an opiate), and has been used in this role for the past 30 years.  DXM is not an opiate, but its stereoisomer, levomethorphan, is, so people often get confused.
